What a whirlwind of a week I had. Due to the high winds we lost our power for over 24 hours. My daughter got very sick and we spent two days at the doctors office. She is slowly on the mend. I did get this quilt top pieced. The pattern is "Spring has Sprung" by Pamela Morgan and can be found in the current issue of Quickly Quilting by Fons & Porter. It came together quickly and it was fun using fabrics from my scrap bin. I had planned on backing it with the vintage sheet in the first photo but then found out a fellow blogger had been looking for this sheet to make curtains for her home. I can easily back this quilt with something else so the sheet is happily on its way to her. I finished the first two blocks in the Happy Flower Quilt along hosted by Kristyne of

Zakkaart. This is going to be such a fun quilt along and I'm looking forward to making the next blocks. My sweet friend, Tina, of
Emily Ann's Kloset sent me this darling cross stitch. I just love it and how about that scalloped hoop?! I hope you all had a good week and are enjoying the weekend. It's sunny today but terribly cold. I'm thankful for the sunshine!
