Little Joys Quilt Finish

Today the Little Joys Quilt Along comes to an end.  It's time to put all those blocks together!  Find the finishing instructions on the Fatquarter Shop blog, The Jolly Jabber, here.  It's also a fun time to personalize your quilt.  I choose to put corner posts, yo-yo holly and the words to a favorite Christmas carol on mine.  I loved working with this gorgeous line of fabric, Little Joys, by Elea Lutz for Penny Rose Fabrics.  The kit is still available from the Fatquarter Shop (click on Little Joys) and you can download the free patterns for just a bit longer.  I must say, it feels good having a Christmas quilt done in July that is all ready to go for the Christmas season.  Have a great day!

Little Joys Present Block

It's time for our next installment in the Little Joys Quilt along hosted by the Fatquarter Shop.  This week is a super fun present block.  I just love this fabric by Elea Lutz.  It's so pretty and retro!  You can find the pattern for the block here.  Next week we will be putting it all together.  Happy Sewing!

Little Joys Wreath Block

I'm posting my blocks a bit late this week.  My Dad was in the hospital.  He is home and on the mend so I was able to come home last night.  I told my Mom I was having sewing withdraw and these blocks got me over that quick!  The pattern for the wreath block is here on the Fatquarter Shop blog. Little Joys Tree Block

Today kicks off the Little Joys Quilt along hosted by the Fat Quarter Shop.  Our first block is the tree block.  You can find the directions for the block here.  I saved the trimming from the HST's and made a saddle for my Christmas Reindeer.  I had a lot of fun sewing this week!  You can still purchase a kit from the Fatquarter Shop or use fabric of your own.  I would love to see your blocks.  Happy Sewing!

Little Joys Quilt Along

The Fatquarter Shop is hosting a fun quilt along starting July 8.  I've been asked to sew along with a fantastic group of quilters using the new Little Joys fabric by Elea Lutz.  You can read about all the details on the Fatquarter Shop blog.  It's a great time to get started on your Christmas sewing so you aren't scrambling, like me, in December.  You can order a kit of the new fabric line or use fabrics of your own choosing.  I hope you will join in the fun!
