Swell Quilt
The house has been very quiet since the kids left for college. It has given me a lot of time to sew and my machine has barely stopped humming since they left. This quilt is "Swell" from Camille Roskelleys book, "Simply Retro" and hands down is one of my very favorites. I used as many different small florals as I could find in my stash and a lot of that included Old-New 30's, Flower Sugar, Antique Flower Collection and many more. I used a vintage sheet for the backing and left the border off for a more vintage feel. This one I quilted myself and was very pleased with how it turned out. Have a good weekend, friends!

Vintage Quilt Find
On a recent visit home I came across this quilt while I was out antiquing with my Mom-in-love. I was immediately drawn to it because of all the various fabrics and the fun pattern. It was quite dirty and stained but after an overnight bath in the wonderful Vintage Textile Soak, it was 95% stain free. I am in love with it and can't stop looking at it. I also picked up some beautiful yarn in "Fresh Water" colorway for a special little boy who is coming into my life. I'm going to be Great Aunt Nay, and I can hardly wait! Have a blessed Monday!
