Friday Happenings
I have been on an interesting journey since the last time I blogged. On May 1 I fell on the basement stairs and broke my ankle. Since then all sewing has stopped and I have been knitting my way through surgery and recovery. It wasn't until this week that I started playing with my sewing machine again but can only do it for short intervals of time. I have a long way to go till I'm literally back on my feet again. I am thankful for the prayers and support of so many of you.
"God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." Psalm 46:1

ReplyDeleteMy heart goes out to you, but we never forget you in our prayers. Keep getting better :)!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness Renee, so sorry to read about your accident and subsequent surgery. All best wishes for a complete recovery!
ReplyDeleteOh so sorry about the ankle. I hate injuries, they are so annoying. I have never broken a bone but I have sprained my ankle. Take it slow, Do the stuff you always put off bc you are too busy sewing. like_ clean out your computer, write letters to relatives.
ReplyDeleteGet better soon, heal up
Renee, I so can relate. When I broke my wrist in 2012, it took a long time for me to recover enough to start quilting again. Even after therapy, I tired more easily and it was difficult to cut using the rotary. But with time I was able to get back to sewing and quilting. Take care and rest. That does wonders for the healing process.
ReplyDeleteGlad to here you are on the road to recovery!!!
ReplyDeleteYour socks are very pretty!!!! Pattern??? Please???
Your quilt is pretty also!!
Slowly, but surely, you will heal! Glad you can sew a bit!!
