Lolly's Fabrics

I have shared with you before that my friend, Nancy, owns a cafe' in Shipshewana, IN.  When I go down to see her I often stop at this fabric store, named Lolly's.

Lolly's is one of the largest fabric stores I have ever been in.  Nestled in the heart of Amish country, it really is a fun day trip.  I am always drawn to the Moda section and all the pre-made items the company has to offer.

There is something for every quilter and it's very (very) seldom I go home empty handed.  The displays are wonderful.

Lot's of inspiration all around and if you haven't come in with a quilt in mind, they certainly will have one for you.

The pattern selection is large and sometimes I just come in to look at patterns and be inspired by all the fabric around me.

Lolly's also sells quilts that have been made by local Amish women.  These are for sale in a separate shop located in the same building.  These are a few of my favorites.  I love anything with a pinwheel!

The softness of the colors and the appliqued bow really caught my attention.  I wish you could see the quilting, it's unbelievable.

The nine patch is one of my favorite blocks so I always spot quilts with it, right away.   You can visit Lolly's on their website.  If any of you plan a trip there, let me know, I'd be happy to meet you there!

Be blessed,

  2. I'm not sure how I found your blog, but I'm so glad I did. I LOVE it! It's my little corner of happiness that I visit throughout the day when I'm at my job in the corporate world! (on break time, of course!) These pictures are eye candy--I love quilt shops and fabric stores. I also really enjoyed your post on Silver Beach. I waxed nostalgic myself and got to thinking of childhood road trips on Route 66. It inspired me to start a list of all the things that feed my soul and spirit. Thank you and God bless you
