Bubbles Quilt

I have been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the new fabric line, "Milk, Sugar & Flower" by Elea Lutz for Penny Rose Fabrics.  It is the most darling collection of florals, birds and animals.  As soon as it arrived I started looking for just the right quilt pattern.  When I saw this pattern, I knew I had found it.  Based on a vintage quilt, McCall's Quilting released this pattern called "Baby Bubbles" as a web bonus back in their May/June 2014 issue.  It can be easily found by going to their website and clicking on the tab "Bonuses".  Then just scroll down to the appropriate issue.  The quilt was very fun to make.  Appliqued circles set in between narrow strips of sashing in the most blush of pink fabric.  I used fusible web and machine blanket stitched the bubbles to the background.  I added an extra row of bubbles to make the quilt a bit larger.  I could not be more pleased with how it turned out.  I have some other fun plans for this fabric line.  Be sure to visit Elea's website for some gorgeous eye candy!
