July Giveaway



It's time for the July Giveaway!  This month features a very special bundle of goods.  I am excited to send to one of you the following:


The book, "Sugar Sack Quilts" by Glenna Hailey
The pattern, "Feedsack Patches" by Darlene Zimmerman
and the fabric to make "Feedsack Patches" which includes
48 - 6" squares of assorted original feedsack prints
1 1/4 yards of solid green for sashing, border and binding
as a bonus I will include
a bag of original feedsack scraps

The finished quilt top measures 37 1/2 x 47 1/2

To enter please be a follower of Sewn With Grace. Leave one comment on this post.  Giveaway ends at midnight on Thursday.  I will announce the winner by random number generator on Friday morning, July 13.

Tomorrow is my surgery and I will be taking a blogging break until I announce the winner on Friday. Have a good week, friends!

    Love the fabric! I remember feed sacks! My grandmother made use of them, I learned to quilt with them at age 9!

    Renee I have to compliment you on your blog. It put together well and is pleasing to the eye. I have been lurking for a short while now but decided that I needed to become a follower. As a newbie quilter and blogger as hope the your surgery goes well, that you have speedy recovery and if I'm really really lucky I might be able to have the exiperence of trying my newbie hands with your wonderful collection on 30's reproduction fabrics and books.

    Thank you for this giveaway. My grandmother made most of my mother's and other siblings clothes out of feedsacks and foodstuff sacks (like flour). She told me about the steps they would take to remove the string, bleach/wash with lye soap in the wash pot, etc. Also, my grandmother told me about which sacks became underwear and which outerwear ... and how she made her patterns. So, it would be such fun if won this prize and shared it with my mother. She is my quilting mentor. I'm a gfc follower.
