  2. I am a follower and have so enjoyed each and every post. My fave gift(s) have been from a dear friend who, over the years, has added to my "angel collection": quilty angels, country angels, elegant porcelain angels, garden angels, etc. Congrats on your reaching the #700 milestone!!! 3. The first Christmas that we were married my husband surprised me with a KitchenAid stand mixer. Some people might think this is not a good gift, but after mixing about 12 batches of Christmas cookies with a hand mixer, it was perfect for me! Now, over 25 years later, the husband and the mixer are still keepers!

  4. Several years ago my parents gave me a Lane Hope Chest that belonged to my Grandmother and her mother before her. The original label is still stapled inside the lid. I wonder what they put it in and what there hopes and dreams were.

  5. My favorite gift came this Christmas. My dear sweet sister has been diagnosed with brain cancer and I live over 10 hours away. My brother gave me a gift card to fly to see her sometime just because I need to! Isn't that wonderful? Thanks for the chance to win and congrats on reaching such an impressive blogging milestone.

My favorite and most special gift is a locket my grandmother gave me to wear for my wedding and to keep forever. It was given to her by my grandfather as a wedding gift. I wish I would have asked where he had received it. The stamp inside showed it was 100 years old the year I wore it for my wedding.

  36. I am a follower. One of my favorite gifts I have received was from my dad. He was on his two weeks active duty for the Navy Reserves when I turned 16. He actually bought me a charm bracelet and gave it to me when he got home. This is one of two gifts that he picked out all by himself and gave it to me. The other gift was a Betty Crocker cookbook (we always cooked together and he was a cook for the Navy). I still have that bracelet and the cookbook is falling apart but I will never not use it. Thanks for the great giveaway.

I have so many favorite gifts one that always makes me think of my parents is a little Christmas music box. The top has a boy and a girl on opposite sides of a window and it slowly turns around. Every Christmas when I see it again it makes me think of my parents.

  43. I'm already a follower through GFC. My favorite gift was my first car. My late father picked it out and surprised me with it as a college graduation present. Of course, that was very long ago and prices were much less (especially when my father negotiated). It's the only present he ever purchased for me.
