Birthday Giveaway Week~Day 4

I glanced at the clock this morning at 12:02 and said to  myself ~ you are 50!  How did that happen?  I can' think of a better way to spend this day than giving to you.  Today we end our week of giveaways with a whopper!

I am giving away two wonderful books, the first one is "Another Bite of Schnibbles" by Carrie Nelson.  The second is "A Baker's Dozen" by the staff at That Patchwork Place.  With it, I am giving you my collection of Denyse Schmidt fabric.  These are large cuts, so there will be plenty to sew with!  Enjoy, dear friends!

  2. I am a follower!! Happy Birthday....I will be hitting the same milestone in March!!

I just ran across some cards by Maxine about turning 50....so in the words of Maxine....

"When you're in your 50's you still do all the things you did when you were in your 20's....'course it'll kill you!!"

Only advice I have is just embrace it and look forward to the next 50 years!!

One of my favourite quotes is 'Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's learning to dance in the rain'
I have it pinned to the wall above my computer!

  12. Happy Birthday!!!!
When I turned 50, almost 4 years ago, I told everyone that I was 'half way there'. Longevity seems to run on both sides of my family, so I just may still have another 50 to go.
It is just a number. The old saying is so true, "You're as young as you feel."
I hope you enjoy your special day and I wish you many more!

  14. "Happy Birthday to you...."

I try not to give advice but I'm reminded of what my 93 yr old grandma always says, "you're young at heart, no matter what the calendar says." This might apply more to someone turning 70 than 50! Now you see why I don't give advice - lol!
