Birthday Giveaway Week!

Thank you for all the wonderful comments about my new blog look!  You ladies are the best!  I've had some questions as to where the blog roll is?  I have put that list at the top under "blogs I love".  So if you click on that button, it will take you to all the blogs I had listed on my sidebar.  You're still there!  If you weren't, I wouldn't be able to reach all your lovely blog homes!

Oh my goodness, it's a big week for me.  As I celebrate my last few days of being in the forties, I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate than to give back to all of you.  You have inspired me, challenged me, comforted me, and made me laugh.  I feel so blessed to have you here, every day.

For today, I'm giving away my entire stash of Christmas fabric.  Yes, you read that right.  Most of it is the fabric I used to create this quilt.  In addition, I'm including a fun book by Piece O'Cake Designs, "Quilt a New Christmas".  Though we aren't doing our monthly "Sewing Christmas" anymore, I wanted to give you the opportunity to get started for next year.

There will be a giveaway each day, Monday through Thursday.  I'm stopping on Thursday since that's my birthday (and hopefully my family will be keeping me busy that day!).  Friday I will announce all the winners.  You have until midnight on Thursday to enter.  For today:

My Mom got my husband and I a dishwasher. We didn't have on in our house and now we do....YAY!!! No more washing all those baby bottles and nipples by hand now. And the fact my husband did the install too. He is so handy. He had to cut 1/2 the cabinets out of one side of my kitchen but it is well worth it.

I am a follower. I think my favorite gift was an antique tea pot that my niece found for me last year when she studied abroad. She gave it to me at Christmas. It was more the thought that she took the time to find me something he knew I loved.

Being a little over 50 - material gifts have come and gone. These days I love the gift of doing. The day after Christmas as part of my Christmas we visited a small town in North Georgia and stayed in a great cabin by a rushing stream. (the only think rushing in that town) Being with family and having time to be alone is one of the best gifts I received this Christmas. I did get a cameo silhouette for using with craft items. 50 is the new 30 -- enjoy.

Please drop my name into the birthday hat, who ever receives the gift of Christmas fabric will have a blast creating a special quilt for Christmas 2012.
My most treasured gift this year was my Dad, he's been so sick and all our prayers were answered that he would be well enough to enjoy Christmas with all of us, that was my "Gift".
I love your new blog look..very much! I am looking to freshen mine up, I saw who designed yours and I am going over now to visit her.

I am a fairly new follower and am so glad that I am. Your blog inspires me! We are both January babies! I have one more year left in my forties, but I don't think about it so much. :) The giveaway is so sweetly generous! My favorite gift this Christmas was one I gave myself. As an assistant department head, I often work more than I should. I gifted myself a real break this winter and got a few have to dos done and slept in often. It was well needed. Thank you, Kelly
