A Penny For Your Thoughts

It's such a pretty fall day today.  The air has taken a cooler turn.  The colors seem more intense maybe because the sky is so blue.

Where has the time gone this year?  Is November really upon us?  My mind can't wrap itself around Thanksgiving and Christmas just yet.

A few of the flowers, like this toad lily, are hanging on.  The rest of the garden is fading back into the earth.  Preparing to rest up for the spring.

As I'm contemplating the change of seasons and life today, I'm wondering if you are too.  So tell me, what's occupying your thoughts today?

Blessings,

  1. We are on the same page. I just turned the calendar to November and had forgotten a couple of days into October as well. I just can't keep up. :o)
Right outside my window, my little maple tree is turning rich, warm shades of orange and yellow. Soon enough, all the leaves will let go. Fall is such a beautiful season. :o)

  5. I enjoyed your beautiful fall pictures!! I am looking forward to Thanksgiving and Christmas, one of my favorite times of the year. It did seem like October went fast!! I love looking at the colors of the trees that God turns in the fall, it reminds me that He is in control and still is here with us. Fall is so colorful :)

  6. It's going to be warm, sunny nd a bit windy here. We are heading into summer but it doesn't really feel like it yet. Like you, I can't believe that Christmas is just around the corner. We don't have Thanksgiving; Christmas just kinda sneaks up on us right at the end of the year!

This weekend I am going to play with my new-to-me quilting frame!

  7. The sweet smell of fall and the way the leaves run across the street like gold coins in the wind. I love fall for all the gifts and treasures that it holds. How much fun my kids belly laughs are and the way my husband still looks like he did when I met him after all these years....blessings every day! Smiles...Renee
