Friday Pretties

My brother recently sent me this photo of my parents on their wedding day.  I had never seen it.  They are still happily married 50+ years later.

We are getting very busy at the farm.  Weddings are being booked left and right and my summer to fall calendar is filling up.

All of these photos were taken last summer.   I'm in a wedding state-of-mind.  I'm enjoying the stroll through my memories.

I truly love my job.  I have a wonderful set of bosses who happen to be very dear friends.  Event planning with them always involves pretty things, good food, great conversation and lots of laughter.

The fact that they live on the farm where we host weddings, showers, dinners, and parties is an added bonus.  The fact that we share the same love of vintage, shabby chic and romantic things is a gift.

Each wedding is different.  Each couple will surprise us in ways we hadn't planned, and that makes it fun.  Even when it's challenging at times, it's still fun!

It won't be long before I'll be spending a great deal of time here at the farm.  A slice of heaven in the countryside.

  11. Hi Renee,
I found your blog via I Love Pretty Little Things. I have to tell you that I've been sitting here with tears streaming down my face as I listened to your playlist (I usually just click the music off!) The first song was one I listened on my walkman (I know, so nerdy!) after my husband died. That was six years ago and at the time, I'd head out and just walk and walk, listening to praise music, as it felt like it was the only positive thing I could do. I lost weight, so that was good! But that song just took me right back to those long walks with the Lord. It's remarkable how music affects us. I just wanted to say thank you for ministering to me tonight. I am your newest follower. I love EVERYTHING about your blog.
    In Him,
    Lynn
