Pocket Full of Posies

Last week I showed you the many petals I was making.  Today I'd like to share with you the finished blossom pin.  I have been busily making them as a baby shower favor for my friend who's shower is this weekend.

I found the tutorial for the pins here.  They were really fun to make and are a great way to use up scraps. I really enjoyed stringing the petals and seeing how the different fabrics came together.

Most were made while watching a movie.  It goes really fast when you have everything ready to go.  For my flowers I used eight petals on the bottom and six on the top.  I made a couple of pins with the left over petals and I like those the best, each petal being different.

They are cute pinned on a sweater, jacket or purse.  So many different ways to package them, but this reminded me of spring.  We are having a rainy day today and I can see some green poking it's way through the ground.  I will enjoy these flowers until the real ones come!

Hugs,
