"Two things I ask of you, O Lord;
do not refuse me before I die:
Keep falsehood and lies far from me;
give me neither poverty nor riches,
but give me my daily bread.
Otherwise, I may have too much
and disown you and say,
'Who is the Lord?'
Or I may become poor and steal,
and so dishonor the
name of my God."
Proverbs 30:7-9

dear renee,
ReplyDeletei love that scripture, because it shows
me that solomon feared what i fear
about myself. if my children were
hungry, i would steal bread for them.
and as for the other way, "to whom
much has been given, much is required."

lea
Amen. :o)
ReplyDeleteThis has been one of my favorite passages. The "preacher" left us many wonderful admonitions. Thank God for his glorious Word!!
