The house has been so quiet with the kids back at school that I've had time to organize my sewing room and do a little stitching. I've had this pattern from Jackie Clark for awhile now and thought it would be a great bag for hauling all my files and paperwork to the Farm and back.
It was not a difficult pattern and I really enjoyed doing all the embellishment. I love vintage hankies and it was fun deciding which one to use. I finally cut into my Cath Kidston stash using the pink floral for the corner. I tried an old, but new to me, technique of attaching the ric-rac.
Hugs,

Good Morning Renee.

I hope you are having a great weekend.

This is too cute! I like your mixes of prints, and the little hankie corner added is just adorable.

This is gorgeous! My grandmother had an apron made of similar fabric to the blue feedsack you used. You make so many beautiful things! Hope your weekend is a good one:>)
ReplyDeleteI meant to ask, what technique did you use for the ricrac?
ReplyDeleteThank you for the well wishes for my trip. So sad I could not meet up with you ...how fun would that have been!
ReplyDeleteYour bag is amazing...so so pretty and believe me JUNK is the perfect word for my carry bag. xoxoxo
Hugs.

Love this bag. How pretty!
ReplyDeleteI want to say thanks for a wonderful blog. I was looking on Google for some quilting sites and yours came up. I clicked here and your projects are beautiful. Then the music started playing, and I have just left your blog open for the last hour or so listening to the music as I work around my house! Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteThat is an adorable bag. I have an addiction to bags. Just ordered a couple books from crafter's choice with bag patterns. Now to just sew some.
ReplyDeleteAdorable!!!!! Love this...:)
ReplyDeleteThis is just wonderful, Renee. I love the fabric combination.
