Red Rose Monday

It is so quiet here today.  I can hear a dog barking somewhere down the street and a lone bird makes a call every now and then.

Fall will make its arrival this week, but here in Michigan that process started a couple of weeks ago.  I'm enjoying the goldfinches in the garden.  Can you see it?  Click on the picture.

Red Rose Farm arrived on Saturday.  My heart is all a-flutter.  The colors are so clear and bright.

I do have plans for this beautiful fabric which involves some vintage dishtowel embroidery.  Can't wait to show you!

Saturday's mail also brought this book which I've been on the hunt  for.  Published in Australia, it has barely made it into the states yet.  I was happy to find one on Etsy.  Aren't those fabric buckets adorable?

While I'm playing on Red Rose Farm today, what will you be doing?

Hugs,

  1. I'm thinking of putting away summer and bringing out fall ... if only it was cool here. I should probably wait until October for such things, as I usually do.

Beautiful fabrics. I'm thinking of having a one-time blog party showcasing quilts, when the weather cools off. Would you be interested in joining in?

  2. AAHHH! It's so beautiful. Still on the hunt and not quite ready to mail order that fabric but soon, very soon. I just finished two of the most adorable dresses for sweet Emily. I just love to sew, again. Have a wonderful week. Can't wait to see what your going to do with the fabric. Patty
