Sunday Scripture

Max
3-13-01 to 6-18-10

"And God said, "Let the land produce living creatures
according to their kinds: livestock, creatures that move
along the ground, and wild animals, each according to
it's kind.  And it was so...And God saw that it was good."
Genesis 1:24&26

For those of you who read my blog, routinely, (and I'm amazed and blessed that you do) you know that Max is our sock-eating, hole digging, storm-freaking, doggie.  He came to us two years ago, from our local Golden Retriever rescue, to be a companion to our other golden, Casey.  Shortly after getting him Casey unexpectedly passed away from cancer.  This past week Max stopped eating and I thought he had gotten into the laundry again.  As it turns out he had a very large cancerous tumor in his intestines.  It was removed, but the surgery was very hard on him and he passed away in his sleep sometime early Friday morning in the vet's intensive care.  Pets bring us much joy, especially to our children and those of you who have them know the love you can feel for these happy companions.  We were blessed to have had the chance to care for two of God's furry creations and he will be greatly missed.

Blessings,

  17. I am so sorry about your sweet Max passing away. Pets are just so special to us. They become part of our families so easily. I also have a senior pup that is living out her last days with us. I am thankful as well that God made her and I got to love her for what time I have had.
