Crochet-a-long...

Last night I finished my first set of pillowcases in the crochet-a-long being hosted by Cassie at You Go Girl.  These are for my daughter's room.  They were so much fun to make and easier than I thought it would be.

It's a really fun project and you get to mix two different fabrics if you want.  Cassie really takes the time to go step-by-step very throughly.  I encourage you to try it.  I had barely any crochet skills at all when I started them.

I would like to tell you about another site.  Kris from KrisKnits has a fantastic knitting blog.  She has the cutest patterns for wash cloths I have ever seen.  She hosts a mystery cloth of the month where she gives you just a tiny bit of the pattern every couple of weeks.  I'm really enjoying it because it's a small project and there is a great sense of completion in a small amount of time.  When I learned to knit years ago, it was through knitting wash cloths.  I think you might enjoy both these sites.  I hope you are having a good week.   Be blessed!

With joy,

  11. Hi Renee, the pillow cases really look lovely....will any linen in your house be safe? Years ago when we were kids, there was a fabric paint called Hobbytex.....nothing plain coloured was safe in our house! lol. Happy crafting, Jenny

I didn't have any crochet skills either until I fell in love with the pillowcases. Now I'm smitten. I still find myself asking, "Crochet? Really?" Yes, really. I love it.

    Take care,
    Cassie
