I almost forgot to put up my Valentine's day quilt this year. Sometimes, when I make a quilt for a specific season I don't remember that I have it until the last minute. So, up on the wall it went before the day comes and goes.
The pattern is out of Nancy J. Martin's book,
"Make Room for Christmas Quilts"
. It's a really good book filled with wonderful decorating ideas as well as quilt patterns. I have made a couple of quilts from it and there are a few more I'd like to do.
This quilt is much brighter than I normally do and if I had to do it all over again, I would not have chosen red and green, it reminds me too much of Christmas even though the green went with the block motif very well. Still, a fun project that certainly brightens my corner of the snow filled world. Asking the Lord to help you accomplish all your tasks today!
