Vintage Quilt Find

On a recent visit home I came across this quilt while I was out antiquing with my Mom-in-love.  I was immediately drawn to it because of all the various fabrics and the fun pattern.  It was quite dirty and stained but after an overnight bath in the wonderful Vintage Textile Soak, it was 95% stain free.  I am in love with it and can't stop looking at it.  I also picked up some beautiful yarn in "Fresh Water" colorway for a special little boy who is coming into my life.  I'm going to be Great Aunt Nay, and I can hardly wait!  Have a blessed Monday!

Smiles,

  1. Congratulations on a great-nephew! How sweet to have a new little one to see growing up. I love the yarn color! You really scored with that quilt too, love it! I found the same pattern in a quilt top at a yard sale for a few dollars a couple years ago. It was a bit worn and was missing a few fan sections, but I finally patched them and baked the old top with a soft cotton sheet and quilted it in a windowpane pattern. I love to snuggle under it while watching t.v. or use it on the bed when the kids come home to visit. I love the colors on yours!
