Most days I feel like I don't accomplish much and then I go to upload pictures to this blog and see all that I've sewn. I'm a bit hard on myself. There is also some special gift sewing I'm doing that I can't show right now. Tomorrow I'm teaching Beginning Quilting at Pink Castle Fabrics. It is my first time teaching in a quilt shop in a classroom setting. I am very excited! I got out my Featherweight this morning to make sure it's all set for class. I made a quick block out of some pretty fabrics in my stash. I am not going for high contrast in this quilt as I'm going to use some of the softer fabrics I've been
Blessings,
Lovely work! I love that little deer in the middle of your log cabin block, so cute & the letter R! Great fabric choices!
ReplyDeleteLove your log cabin, and your letter "R"--your fabric choices are so pretty. I am making the BOM with Fig Tree too, but have only finished one block. Congrats on the teaching job, and good luck tomorrow:)
ReplyDeleteI love your R, I like the pink gingham for the background, I think I'll do a gingham for my background also!
ReplyDeleteIn love with the log cabin block!
ReplyDeleteHave fun teaching...I am sure you will be awesome!!! All of your blocks are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE it!!! *jumping up and down*
ReplyDeleteYour work is so inspiring.
ReplyDeletelooks like you are staying busy. I am working on the alphabet from the moda blog too.
ReplyDeletehave fun teaching.
Log Cabin is my MOST favorite block of all time ... remember when I took a beginner's class and we made a "sampler" quilt with different blocks. The log cabin block gave me the most fits (for some reason) but once I mastered it I realized how versatile it is and how many designs you can make with it. Hope you had fun teaching your class ... I am sure they loved you ;-) Linda
ReplyDeleteLove your "R" and quilt blocks! You are always making such gorgeous quilts! xo Heather
ReplyDeleteI love your log cabin block and it's sweet colors. I think I have those same fabrics I've been hoarding too. :) blessings, marlene
ReplyDeleteI love the colors in that first block. I am still working on a quilt for my granddaughter.
ReplyDeleteI love the fabrics in your log cabin block and the little deer is so sweet. I missed the Fig Tree Block of the Month, it looks like a super fun one. It is nice when we upload pictures to our blogs and see how much we have accomplished. Have a great weekend.
