Be My Valentine

I remember fondly how much I loved Valentine's Day as a child.  I loved decorating a box. Often that was more fun than getting the Valentine's.  I wish I had saved every single one I received as a child. They would be "vintage" now.  I miss the days when the cards were so stinking cute.  I also miss when the kids were little and we made Valentines together for their friends.  The school parties were always so crazy but oh how fast it went by.  I did send cute little Valentines to my 23 and 19 year old.  They know Mom will never change.  I got out my one Valentine's quilt that I made a very long time ago.  It is not my colors anymore but it certainly reminds me of how far I've come as a quilter.  I have had the adorable Pam Kitty Valentine's fabric for a while now and plan on making a new quilt that goes with my current style.  Don't you just love everything, Pam Kitty Morning?  Have a wonderful day of friendship and love.  Blessings!

  1. What a lovely Valentine quilt to have and remember memories with!! Love the Pam Kitty fabrics, so cute and pretty! And a very sweet vintage Valentine! Wishing you a wonderful day! Sending Valentine hugs!! xo Holly

  2. Happy Valentine's Day Renee!! Have a sweet and beautiful day! xo Heather

  3. I think your quilt is absolutely gorgeous!!! I do miss making a Valentine's box, that was one of my most favorite times at school. I also remember spending so much time picking just the right Valentine from my pack I bought for each class mate! The old ones are so much cuter than the new ones. Seriously, who want a wrestling Valentine?

  4. Yes, those vintage cards are sooo cute!!

  5. It would be so nice to have all of those little valentines from childhood. It was always such a fun day at school. Have a great Valentine's Day Renee!!

  6. What a beautiful quilt. I have that same fabric, and I keeping saying I am going to make a Valentine's quilt. But it comes and goes and still no quilt. Oh how I know what you mean. I too wish I would of saved all my Valentines. We made boxes too and they where so much fun. The school days went by so fast when my son was little. I really miss though's days.
    Happy Valentines day my dear.

  7. Happy Valentine's Day Renee! I think your quilt is great. Isn't it fun looking back on the older quilts we've made?!

  8. Happy Valentines to you too! I think it's quite lovely to look back at old quilts and see how our styles and tastes have changed. And to answer your question: a definite YES to all things Pam-Kitty!
    Have a lovely weekend,
