Just Be You

For a brief moment on Saturday I thought about changing my style.  The boys had come home from the Michigan game with some friends and they were sitting on my pretty furniture in my pretty room watching football and they looked a little silly.  I had just gotten back from an antique market and had purchased the cute little buffet with the key for the dining room.  I started going through possible design changes, more industrial, more neutral, more blah, blah, blah.  Nope, I can't do it.  Eventually when we finish the basement they will have their man cave.  No one objects to my style at home so why would I change?  I've been blessed with a husband who lets me display a vintage wedding dress in the dining room and has no problem putting his feet on a pink coffee table.  I'm so glad, because the florals and the roses and the vintage goodness is here to stay.  Blessings!

Xoxo,

  2. My husband is very sweet about letting me do whatever I want also. He can do what he wants in the office, and the rest of the house is my choice!
    I love your buffet!

  4. Such a great reminder for us all. Be true to yourself. Let everyone else have their own style in their home or bedroom. Gorgeous finds!

  5. Yes, good for you!! My husband has no decorating style and is content with having me decorate the way that I want. Well, he might object if I let it get a little too "foo-foo". lol He once paid me a very high compliment in saying that I know how to make a house a home. It can't get any better than that, can it?

  8. I purchased the green dresser with the painting on it. It also had a chair, headboard and nightstand. I didn't need it all (and couldn't afford it all). I was sad to break up the set but I love the piece I got.
