It's raining for the fourth day in a row. There is a peacefulness about it. It's best to stay in with the temps in the 40's and wetness all around. I keep wandering into my sewing room for some inspiration.
I finished cutting out the 900 squares for the Country Road quilt yesterday while the carpets were being cleaned for our open house tomorrow. If I have to stand around and wait while something is being done to the house I might as well be productive, right?
Selling your house makes you see it in a whole different light. Everywhere I turn there is a surface to be cleaned, or a pile to be sorted and put away. This house has probably never been more organized in all our nine years of living here.
For today, I am exhausted emotionally and physically. I find myself back on the couch looking at this view out the window and listening to the rain coming down. I really hope someone falls in love with our home tomorrow. Blessings!

I am so glad you are able to be distracted from house selling with such a wonderful project, even if for a short time! I hope the right person finds your home right away! Our last move was particularly difficult because it was our dream house we sold! Take care!ReplyDelete
I've always fallen in love with my houses all over again when I staged them to sell. We did all the things we had planned to do while living in them just before selling them! Backwards, I know!ReplyDelete
Good luck tomorrow!
We are trying to sell our house too. We are usually clutter bugs so keeping on top of it can be exhausting. Luckily we are empty nesters and this week the husb is out of town at a conference. that certainly makes things easier. Good luck to you.ReplyDelete
Oh my goodness 900 squares! That's so many! Lovely view you have from inside, it's been raining here too, but today is full of some sunshine. Good luck with tomorrow, i'm sure someone will :) Blessings, HollyReplyDelete
Will keep you in our prayers! Your place looks so friendly and inviting I am sure that "special someone" is just waiting to approach your front door! Blessings in His Name, DoreenReplyDelete

Weatherman is promising us our first rain of the season Monday night. Got my fingers crossed! Tired of fires and dust.
There is One who has it all covered - relax and rest in Him. Your home is gorgeous, by the way.ReplyDelete
Thanks for the glimpses of autumn through your windows.ReplyDelete
I too hope someone falls in love with your lovely home--very quickly!
Weatherman says snow on Friday. Good luck to you with selling the house. You are in the hands of the Lord so rest in Him. He will provide you with strength.ReplyDelete

You're selling and I'm buying! best of luck to you!I had a house on the market once for a year and a half. THAT house was clean and organized, too! Do you know, I've never lived anywhere for 9 years! I'm still dreamin' about settling down...ReplyDelete

I hope everything goes well with the sale of your house. I have loved all of the snippets of your house that you have shared on your blog. Someone will surely see that it is a house filled with love.ReplyDelete
Praying you get a good offer. The rain is peaceful, it gives us permission to settle in and enjoy some indoor projects. I can't wait to see the quilt:>)ReplyDelete
