Hill Farm

This is the view from my back door.  It is cold and the air is brisk this morning.  The colors are all at their peaks.  My raging cold has not let up so I will be enjoying all this beauty from my couch today.  It never seems to fail, after a season of busyness, I get sick.  Our bodies can only take so much stress.

I purchased this wonderful fat eighth bundle of "Hill Farm" by Brenda Riddle for Lecien.  Brenda's blog is here.  Brenda's work includes the beautiful lines of "Celebration, Georgia Lou and Durham Anew" as well as many patterns. I love her work.  Be sure to stop by and take a look.

I found this great book on the Fat Quarter Shop website and will be using Hill Farm to make this featured quilt.  There are some real beauties in this book.  It's a great book to have in your library. You can look at it here. Enjoy your day, friends!

  1. I love your view! Living in Texas I miss those beautiful colors!

  2. Oh what a view you have! Gorgeous!

I think I might have to get that book. It looks wonderful and I've been waiting to hear if this fabric line has come in because I love everything Brenda Riddle! I have her other fabrics too and they are just such a reminder of days gone by for me.

Thank you for sharing and I will pray for you that you get your strength back! Take care,

  3. Hi Renee.
I am so sorry you are sick.
I had something for a week that pretty much landed me on the couch too. I hope you are able to rest and regain your strength. You will have pretty fabric to look at in the mean time. :o)
    sending care and hugs, Trish

  10. Sorry to hear that you are still suffering with your cold. Enjoying the beautiful Fall colors and working with some beautiful fabrics...you couldn't ask for a better way to while away the day as you recuperate. All you need now is some hot tea and maybe some good ol' chicken noodle soup!
I love Lecien fabrics and this Hill Farm collection is too cute!!

  11. So sorry you are feeling under the weather, Renee. Staying on the couch might be the best cure. You do have a lovely view. Even though it has cooled here, we don't get that kind of beautiful color.
I always love anything Lecien and Hill Farm is going on my list of must haves. Looks like a good quilt book too. I never thing to look at the fat quarter shop for books.
    Hoping you feel better soon.

  12. You are such a sweetheart. . . I hope the fabrics help you feel just a wee bit better! Please take good care.
    xo, Bren

  13. Nice fall picture and I think your book is a great inspiration. Cant wait to see what you make with your fabrics.
