Sunday Scripture

I would love to know what kind of butterfly this is...

"For this reason I kneel before the Father, from whom
his whole family in heaven and on earth derives its name.
I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you
with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that
Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith.  And I pray
that you, being rooted and established in love, may have
power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and
how long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to
know this love that surpasses knowledge - that you may 
be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God."

Ephesians 3:14-19


This past week has been a challenge and I'm glad to be home.  All of your comments were just what I needed upon returning.  My FIL remains in the hospital, not any better and not any worse.  My son has had some tests and we are awaiting the results.  It appears that we are in wait and trust mode.  While I wait and trust I am also working hard on listening to God.  It has been a very interesting few weeks for me and God has been teaching me a lot about being a wife, mom, daughter, daughter-in-law and friend at this stage of my life.  While I may not always get it right, I know that I love with my heart and try, with the grace of God, to be the best I can in each of the roles I find myself in.  I am so glad to have a Savior who loves me, no matter what, and takes the time to teach me His truths.  Have a wonderful Sunday!

  1. Waiting and trusting can be difficult sometimes but I pray that everything is going to be ok with your family. I always enjoy your posts. I can tell they do come from the heart. God bless.

  2. Waiting is hard. But we are admonished in scripture to wait on the Lord and to remember that all things are in his hands. I'm reminding myself as I encourage you. May his grace to you abound and hold you up.

  5. We have been in wait and trust mode for the last two years and I can tell you God is in control and has never let us fall. I will continue to pray for your father in law and sone and for you Renee. The butterfly is a tiger swallowtail:>)

    Your post is beautifully put. As a family we are currently "walking by faith, not by sight" and sincerely, it is a challenge. But like you, I lean into the One who knows all things and is in all things and will work all things to His glory, amen. :o)
