Colors of Spring

I love how fashion has taken a turn toward the feminine.  I'm enjoying all of the delicate details that are appearing on clothing this spring.  Over the weekend I decided to try my hand at  embellishing a sweater.  I'm playing around with the arrangement and haven't attached them yet.  I'm trying to decided how to attach as well.  So far I like the arrangement.

My Mother-in-love, Martha gave my daughter this quilt she had made many years ago.  I love the colors and the design.  I have never seen this design before.  Each grape is individually stuffed.  It was quite laborious to make and is not one of her favorites, but quickly became one of mine.  It looks pretty with all the Easter decorations.  A treasure!

Thank you kindly for all your sweet comments yesterday about my porch article.  I enjoyed reading them.  I love the support we share with each other!  You're the best!

Joyfully,

  3. What a beautiful sweater! The gem button is also a pretty addition. And what a treasure to have such an heirloom, the time and love that went into the creating of this quilt is amazing.
