A Study of Light

The sun broke out of the grey this weekend.  Suddenly I was seeing opportunities to capture a moment of light with my camera.  You truly know it's been awhile without sunshine when you stop what you're doing and turn towards the window.  This quilt is the result of my first paper-piecing class a couple of years ago.  Very soft colors, not much contrast.  I'm still learning contrast.
Just love how the crabapple tree reflects on the curtains in my dining room, almost like it was painted on.
The sun illuminated the Faith sign on it's own.  I'm sure there is a metaphor we could find in this.
Just the play of light on lace.  Oh so pretty...

"The February sunshine steeps your boughs
and tints the buds and swells the leaves within."
William C. Bryant

Have a joyfilled Monday!
