I can tell that the natural light is much better except I do like the first picture, even though that might be because I like the richness of colors and patterns around the vase.

This picture, of my new book, however, doesn't photograph well under artifical light. Sometimes, when the skies of Michigan are seemingly forever gray, I have to take pictures in artificial light.
