The Christmas Tour Continues

We find ourselves back in the dining room today finishing up a look at the Christmas decorations.   I thought you might like another look at the dollhouse all set for the holidays.

The oil lamp that belonged to my Grandmother finds it's way to the sideboard.  I remember what it once looked like at her house this time of year and remember the smell of the oil burning.

The table wears it's Christmas quilt that I made last year at this time.  It was a great stash buster, using many different red prints.  The wonderful thing about this quilt is that whenever I look at the individual fabrics, I remember other things that I made with it.

By the window stands a small tree that I made a few years back.  The garland is made from sheet music and the tree skirt is lace from the Civil War era.

A small church pew that found it's way into my heart and home several years ago makes me wonder about the people who would have been sitting there for a Christmas service.

A cross-stitch picture my Mom made hangs on the wall and reminds me of a simpler time.

A favorite item in my dining room are these Rudolph dishes.  Whimiscal and charming and must have once held cookies for Santa.  Off to the "Pretty Room" tomorrow!  Blessings!

With joy,
