Sewing Pretty

The house has been so quiet with the kids back at school that I've had time to organize my sewing room and do a little stitching.   I've had this pattern from Jackie Clark for awhile now and thought it would be a great bag for hauling all my files and paperwork to the Farm and back.

It was not a difficult pattern and I really enjoyed doing all the embellishment.  I love vintage hankies and it was fun deciding which one to use.  I finally cut into my Cath Kidston stash using the pink floral for the corner.  I tried an old, but new to me, technique of attaching the ric-rac.

I used a cheerful gingham for the inside (thought of you Tricia!) and a piece of feedsack material for the back.  I can see myself making more of these! Have a joyful Saturday!

Hugs,
